New Patient Introduction

We would like to welcome you to our Practice and we look forward to meeting you soon.

At this stage, we would like to provide you with a copy of our welcome pack, which will have some frequently asked questions that may be of help. We've also included a leaflet which will help to explain who can get treatment under the NHS if you are under 18 years old:

Importantly, there are three steps that you need to take before seeing us for a face-to-face consultation:

  1. SmileViewer - this allows us to obtain some initial imagery and some very basic information which helps with our initial diagnosis
  2. Pre Assessment Questionnaire - This is the medical history questionnaire which is compulsory before any face to face appointment is booked.
  3. Provide us with your NHS number - It is now mandatory that your NHS Number is provided if you are under 18 years age. This a 10 digit number found on the NHS App or via your GP.

Once you have completed the above information, please do contact us 10 days later, allowing us time to update your records, and we will book the in-surgery appointment at an appropriate time.

Even with the offer of NHS funding, many people ask for independent Orthodontic treatment options and it is important we allow you to consider this.  Some of the the benefits of independently funded care include:

  • Choose between tooth-coloured, clear or aesthetic non-metal braces

  • Priority appointment times so you should not need to miss work or school

  • Full choice of treatments that could improve outcomes, greatly reduce treatment time and maybe lessen the need to remove teeth

  • Treatment supervised by senior clinician or clinical lead

  • Fixed/bonded retention devices at the end of treatment giving you extra security keeping the smile perfect

  • Choice of treatment location

  • No waiting time to start your treatment

  • Options for virtual consultations to significantly reduce the number of practice visits

Did you know, you can start independently funded treatment for as little as £67.00 per month, simply ask our treatment coordinator for more details, or click here to find out more.

You can also find a host of information on our website including meeting the team, information about different treatments and what to expect on your first visit. Please take a look:

In the meantime, if you have any questions, please do let us know and we will be very happy to assist. Our Practice has been running for over 50 years and in that time we have treated over 90,000 patients so I am sure we will have the answer!

Kind regards,
The Bracelands Team
